A celebration overflowing with beauty and delight of tradition as a sea of lanterns illuminates not only the world but our own minds as well.

In celebration of the birth of Buddha, the enchanting Lotus Festival in Seoul presents a spectacular display of lights through the streets of Jongno and Dongdaemun. The lanterns themselves range from small hand-held lotus shapes to much larger lights carried by groups and even bigger lantern floats in the shape of dragons, elephants and Buddhas. After the parade, the entertainment continues on the streets.
